We are having our own auto industry issues up here with the 3 big ones....i heard somewhere that they are producing like 16 million cars a year, but only selling 10 million...I am sorry to say, stop making so many cars? i agree with you al, we (the tax payers) shouldnt be paying for their mistakes, let the markets re-adjust, it will hurt in the short term, but in the long term the industry will be stronger...helping them out will just pro-long the fall, and make it more costly. I also heard/read that the 3 big execs, flew private jets, separately to beg for bailout money? isn't that a laugh....and you cannot tell me that they didnt see this coming....

World Series: I had heard it was because the initial series was sponsored by a New York newspaper, the New York World, so it was called the 'World Series'. Wikipedia doesn't appear to agree with me, however.

Beta 5.0: Yay!

Hey Al,
Somehow I remember you as having a bit different appearance but as I am getting older and older, maybe my memory is playing tricks. :-)

How much testing would be required? i would like to upgrade to 4.3 and try out all the new 'pdf', form design, output features, as we are re-doing all our optio forms, in appx 'pdf' form output, to try and have everything 'contained' within appx.

if this is something you want tested out, sign me up! as we have many many forms i want to convert over....

thanks

Well, Al is right, biking in to work does have it's benefits. Reduced fuel consumption, less air pollution, better health, etc. And genetics are on my side. Since my Grandfather was 100% Dutch and moved here from Den Haag in the early 1900's it should be in my blood, right?

I have noticed a lot more people biking along my route to work in the past few weeks. Maybe it will catch on here. I know we have too many cars for the streets in our small part of Florida on most days.

Bikes and public transportation could help a lot if we could shift our cultural mindset, create a convenient transportation system, and move our families closer to the places we need to be on a daily basis. When I spent a few weeks in The Netherlands for business and looking up family I never felt inconvenienced by not having a car. I could always get to the places I wanted to be easily and relatively quickly. Maybe the rising fuel prices will help push that trend here. Not likely in the near future but you can always hope, do your part, and maybe others will follow your example.
